We are now looking for a Commodity Manager - Contract Manufacturing.
WHAT WILL YOU DO? As we strive to keep high growth in a market with strong competition, it is of great importance that we constantly improve our purchase costs and enable good cooperation with our manufacturing partners. Your responsibility will be to constantly reduce purchasing costs from our contract manufacturers. Furthermore, you will:
Have commercial responsibility for business with Axis Contract Manufacturers
Be responsible for the process of price review from our contract manufacturers on volume products
Be responsible for price review and negotiation on new products
Identify and drive cost reduction activities towards contract manufacturers by analyzing quotation data and having good understanding of cost drivers within different areas (material-, value add- and other relevant costs)
Work in close cooperation with our contract manufacturers by assisting them to achieve competitive component pricing and making sure Axis negotiated prices are implemented in their product quotations.
Work in close cooperation with electronics component suppliers to secure implementation of cost reductions towards contract manufacturers.
Measure and follow up overall purchasing cost savings goal fulfillment
The position acquires 20-30 days of travelling per year
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? As a person you are well structured, business minded and result oriented. You are collaborative and open in the interaction with your colleagues and external stakeholders. You have excellent analytic skills, being able to process and analyze big amounts of data to support fact based decisions.
You have:
A degree in Industrial Economy, Business, Supply Chain Management or similar
Minimum 3 years of purchasing/sourcing experience from international companies
Knowledge about contract manufacturing, electronics manufacturing and electronics market
Good negotiation skills
Excellent skills in English, both orally and in writing
Excellent MS Office skills
It also an advantage if you have:
Experience from working in ERP systems
Knowledge about business culture in different parts of the world
