Main mission
You report to Director Purchasing Cab and Electronics and will be a direct support our managers directly in their operations as well as the department, in particular for strategic centralized initiatives run within the department where you will get the chance to lead our work coordinating the work with our cross-functions, purchasers and suppliers.

You will be a part of our Management team of Commodity and you will also get the chance to help us in developing the department and the Commodity community.

Finally you will have an important role strong focus on Product Cost Optimisation activities in order to meet the cost target of our vehicles. In your role you will be responsible at our department to lead our purchasers in the cost reduction program from our together with our cross-functions. Your team play will be an important asset for you assignment as you will work in cooperation with Scania's development department, production units, purchasing quality departments.

Your profile

You are humble to the challenge and you have already some years of experience working in a multi-cultural environment with high ambitions. You need of course a strong purchasing experience with acknowledges good results, a commercial understanding with good knowledge on how business to business works. You like to have interactions in different levels with our cross functions and it is therefore important that you also are capable to manage communication in an international company.

We are a group that consist four Commodity managers, one controller and me. All dedicated to what we do! Together we have a fantastic mix of backgrounds, experiences and competences and we work closely together as a team. The cooperation and the different perspectives helps us in solving problems and continuously develop with the challenges we have ahead of us.

Me as a manager
My name is Gustav Teng and I have a professional background both from market and purchasing. The last ten year I spent in purchasing where I have had several manager positions. I like to work closely with the management team and our organisation. As a manager I am highly motivated to create dynamic and cooperative environment where I find diversity of our team to be the best of our assets. This lies in line very much with my own background and personality.

The combination of diversity and a continuous learning helps us to build the X-factor of our department capable of facing new challenges!
