Volvo Cars Purchasing is ultimately responsible for the selection of all Volvo Cars suppliers and has the responsibility for the procurement of all production material and services to Volvo Cars.
The supply of materials and services- to the right quality, in the right quantity and on time- is essential to the smooth running of the company andto match our customer's expectations.
Short description of the group:
Exterior Trim Purchasing 53152 is responsible for purchasing of direct production material to Volvo Cars Plants. We purchase material to new car projects and to running production for VCC:s manufacturing plants. Main commodity areas are Bumpers, Lighting, Exterior plastics, Functional black trim and Plastic fenders.
The team is working very close together with the other brands in Ford Motor Company. In our daily work there is also a close co-operation with product development department, manufacturing plants and of course with our suppliers.
We are now looking for a buyer with commodity responsibility.
Job Description:
Purchasing of components, tools and development work from international automotive suppliers
Establish supply base strategies and lead new programme sourcing
Lead commercial negotiations
Establish agreements
Capacity investigations
Represent purchasing in cross functional teams
Support manufacturing plants if supplier quality or delivery performance issues occurs
Issue purchase orders and follow-up supplier actions in new car
programmes
Profile Qualifications:
Commercial experience preferably from automotive industries
Technical knowledge/experience/interest is an advantage
Technical and/or commercial university degree alt. long experience within automotive
Experience from purchasing is preferable
Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Computer skills (MS Office) are required
