Commodity Buyer of Marketing Services is a unique position within VOLVO Purchasing. You will be working together with our different brands in the Volvo group and support them in their marketing activities and projects to identify and purchase the best marketing solutions. The selection of suppliers is based on supplier's offers that in the end will provide the most added value for Volvo group. It is also a position where you are responsible of the complete spend of a some specific segments or brands.
You will have a purchasing responsibility based on Volvo Brand (Trucks, Bus, Penta, VCE) and on segment which will focus on areas such as: optimizing the supplier base, selecting the best offers and suppliers for specific marketing projects, securing competitive and quality secured agreements, developing best practice purchasing processes, benchmarking and reporting with the aim to drive continuous improvement within the segment. You will be responsible to implement purchasing strategies for your specific segments.
An important part of the job is also to interact and collaborate with other parts of the Volvo Group and represent purchasing in related key stakeholder . You will play a significant role in the IPS Marketing services team to secure that we work with knowledge sharing and best practices.
Responsibilities
• Manage the segment from a strategic and brand purchasing perspective
• Contribute to segment strategy development and purchasing process to support Volvo's strategic objectives
• Strengthening Volvo's competitive advantage by understanding the business needs and the supplier market
• Manage and develop the supplier base for your segments and brands
• Be main interface for the Volvo brands that you are supoprting and by that have control of sourcing plans, KPI's etc
• Lead regional or brand specific sourcing projects (Spot Buy purchases) within the segment
• Drive synergies and share best practices within the Volvo Group

Overall Requirements
• Master of Science or Business Administration
• Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
• Experience within Marketing services is a benefit but not a must
• Experience of working with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Project management knowledge and/or Purchasing experience is required
• International experience is meriting
• Motivated by change management and ability to drive change
