Who are we?

The Electromobility Team is multinational, dynamic, highly motivated and driven group of people that are acting cross functionally around the world and supporting global vehicle electrification initiatives that is expanding.
Being a member of this team, you will support regional and global activities primarily in the arena of Li-Ion Energy Storage Systems (ESS).

What will you do?

We are looking for a Commodity Buyer whose main task will be to support development and industrialization of electrified construction vehicles, support implementation of sourcing strategies, new electromobility projects launch and suppliers' management.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Collaborate with buyers, project leaders, advanced engineering team to consolidate all Product Platforms' needs in terms of volumes, proto/pilot builds, relevant milestones to secure smooth deliveries from suppliers,
Organize and drive recurrent commercial meetings with suppliers to secure their understanding of Volvo CE requirements in terms of Quality, Cost, Operations, Logistics, etc.
Assure continuous improvement of suppliers (QDCF performance) and conduct Business Review Meetings in collaboration with Commodity Manager,
Give inputs and contribute in the definition of Sub-Commodities strategies in collaboration with Commodity Managers
Communication with relevant stakeholders from Volvo Group (e.g Volvo Trucks, Volvo Penta)

As Li-Ion battery segment is dynamic, innovative and critical for the electrified vehicles from a value chain and safety perspective, you will have an exciting role with one foot in today's business and one foot in tomorrow's business.

Who are you?

We are looking for an energetic and committed professional with relevant expertise and "can-do" attitude. You like to work in a team, have a creative and strategic mindset and experience from global and cross-funtional communication.
We think you have a true interest and sound knowledge of new emerging technologies related to vehicle electrification and willigness to improve and challenge, both yourself and your work environment.

Competences and education:
University degree in Business Administration and/or Supply Management or Engineering
Proven experience in at least one of the following: Purchasing, Project management, Business Development, Supply Management,
Fluent in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus,
Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, Power Point, Word),
Knowledge of Li-Ion battery technology is a plus,
Working experience in any of the below industries is a plus:
Construction Equipment or Automotive industry preferably in ESS or charging arena,
battery manufacturing/design industry
