Axis Sourcing team is a great contributor to our company's success and apart of establishing and developing our supplier base we also strive to keep high growth in a market with strong competition, which is why cost competitiveness and constant improvements to our purchase costs are of great importance. Your responsibility will be to continuously reduce purchasing costs from our contract manufacturers in close collaboration with component suppliers and your colleagues.
Who is your future team?
Sourcing 's task is to create best possible prerequisites for a reliable and efficient supply chain now and in the future. We make sure to have the most suitable suppliers and utilize them in order to achieve maximum contribution both commercially and technically.
What you'll do here as Commodity Buyer?
You will:
* Be responsible for negotiations of Axis products costs with our contract manufacturers.
* Identify and drive cost reduction activities towards our contract manufacturers by analyzing product quotation data and having good understanding of all relevant product cost drivers.
* Work in close cooperation with our contract manufacturers and 2nd tear suppliers to achieve timely implementation of Axis negotiated component prices in product quotations.
* Drive improvements within manufacturing partners commercial performance and contribute to Axis overall manufacturing strategy
* Be responsible for follow-up and optimization of different parameters affecting purchase cost of components, such as order quantities, demand changes and delivery terms.
* Support RFQ process for new products
This position is very important because you will have a great opportunity to affect a big part of Axis total purchasing costs and by this have opportunity to affect and make big difference to our business and continued success. The position will mean some travels abroad.
Who are we looking for/Who are you?
As a person you are analytic and well structured. Analyzing big amounts of data as a part of decision process is a task you handle with ease. You are ambitious, self-driven and very result oriented. You also like to collaborate with others and see the benefit of working towards common goals. You are open and your communication skills help you in reaching your goals. Negotiations are a piece of cake for you and you enjoy the discussions with the suppliers.
We'd love to hear that you have/are:
* A degree in Industrial Economy, Business, Supply Chain Management or similar.
* Minimum 2 years of purchasing/sourcing experience from international companies
* Excellent MS Office skills
* Experience from analyzing big amount of data
* Excellent skills in English, both orally and in writing
* Knowledge about contract manufacturing, electronics manufacturing and electronics market
It 's good if you have experience from working in ERP systems and if you have knowledge about business culture in different parts of the world, it will benefit you greatly in your future role.
