Purchasing & Supplier Management (P&SM) is a function within Volvo Construction Equipment. The Electric & Electronics, Cab and Sheet Metal & Plastic Commodity is a Regional Commodity serving region Europe with sourcing strategies to make sure Volvo CE can reach the targets of Quality, Delivery and Cost and meet our customer's expectations.

Job summary
In this job your will be a member of a sub-commodity team, in charge of defining the sourcing strategy for Sheet Metal, Tubes & Pipes in Region Europe.
Main tasks/responsibilities
In this job you will define the sourcing strategy together with the stakeholders for Sheet Metal and Tubes & Pipes. That means that you will build and implement sourcing strategies, develop and manage supplier base. You will also negotiate contracts such as Framework agreement and QDC agreement, supporting R&D, buyers at each site and aftermarket. You will lead and build the long-term plan of this sub-commodity to contribute to the cost optimization of Volvo machines.

Who you are today
You have great cooperative skills and communication skills as you are dealing with multiple contacts both outside and inside of your organization. You have the ability to lead and are not afraid of taking on responsibility. You are used to working in a multinational and multicultural environment.
You have a strategic mindset and as a person you are target oriented and believe there is always room for improvements. You are self-driven and organized and love taking on complex tasks.
You have a Technical Education and/or proven experience within Metal Business. You have expertise in Metal Technologies to understand and support the combined P&SM and R&D strategy. You have a deep understanding of sourcing strategy building and a clear vision on current supplier market trends. Proven strong negotiating and analytical skills are a must. Having experience of Emerging Market Sourcing (EMS) is a plus.
You are fluent in English verbal and written communication.
