You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Reporting to the line manager Claes Eriksson, you will work with the completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.Possible location will be Ludvika or Västerås.Your responsibilities* Your tasks will be varied and you will have the unique opportunity to work in a global environment.* The Commissioning Engineers organizes and performs ABB's activities related to testing and commissioning work of the equipment and systems on site, within the field of responsibility related to the plants functionality.* You will report and give assistance to the Commissioning Manager in the planning and coordination of Testing and commissioning activities and assists in technical discussions with the client and the client's consultants.* You will keep yourself well informed about the Scope of Work and Division of Work and make sure that all changes are identified and communicated to Commissioning Manager/Site Manager/Project Manager.* In conclusion, you assure that ABB's commitments to the customer are met and are in accordance with the contract.Your background* You have a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. * It is an advantage if you have experience in Commissioning work in plants of different sizes, complexities and technologies, preferably internationally. * Excellent skills in English are required, additional language skills are merit. * Knowledge of ABB Health and Safety, electrical safety, and first aid training is a merit. * It is an advantage if you, in addition, also have skills with Control System MACH 2 or 3 and MS Office.* You have the unique ability to work on projects sites in live stations, under pressure, with trouble-shooting, and do that both in teams and individually. * You will be working according to relevant legislations and standards with a pragmatic and smooth way of working to deliver results in a global environment. * You consider yourself to be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to coach others in the commissioning area.More about usBring your very own sense of pride and purpose as you help us drive forward the Fourth Industrial Revolution - creating a sustainable future for our planet, and your career.
