Do you want help us to promote a healthy planet for future generations? We are now looking for a Commissioning Engineer who will strengthen our business line Vessel Optimization.
Main responsibilities
As a Commissioning Engineer you will be on-site representative during start-up, commissioning, and service. The Commissioning Engineer ensures that the systems operate as designed and constructed and makes recommendations to improve efficiency and system performance. Your main responsibilities will be:
Work on vessels and with clients to define projects
Installation, commissioning and service of systems onboard vessels
Adaption of systems and instructions to specific vessels
Crew training to provide key information about the systems
Providing recommendations to improve system efficiency and performance
Preparations of reports for completed projects and their delivery to the client
Assistance with service and support issues, support administration and support issue logging
The position requires extensive travels to ships, yards and customers.
Background and skills
Technical understanding of ships and automation/electrical systems onboard vessels
Preferably several years of experience from a similar position
Higher technical education will be an advantage
Experience in the maritime industry is preferred
Fluency in English, both verbal and written
Driving license
Personal qualities
As a person, you are creative with strong problem-solving skills and ability to think methodically when working on projects. To enjoy this position, you prefer to work in an including atmosphere.
