Scania Sustainable City Solutions (SCS) is one of the new ventures created in order to find new business opportunities for Scania within new fields in the city eco-system. The mission is two-fold: 1. Protect and grow Scania current core within the City segment, and 2. Create new revenue streams, by developing new ventures / business models that go beyond Scania current core. At SCS we are in an explorative phase developing our business within the fields of smart city design, urban mobility, energy solutions and flow optimization.
Job description
Your main responsibilities will be to lead and coordinate current projects within all of the areas described above, with an initial focus on alternative fuels and 'waste-to-energy' for city applications. We are looking for an experienced project manager with a commercial interest who can initiate, develop and deliver cross functional projects as well as maintain stakeholder and customer relations throughout the projects and build relationships with relevant key actors in the field. The projects are mainly international and traveling will be required.
The role includes close liaison and cooperation with internal and external stakeholders within both public and private organisations, as well as financial institutes to initiate, prioritize and execute projects according to plan. In this role you will be working in close liaison with the SCS business development team.
Your Profile
You are a project manager professional with several years of experience from project management and/or sales. Good knowledge about alternative fuels, public transport and trends as well as sustainable solutions within this area is an additional plus. You are a solution and customer oriented person, driven and team-oriented. You enjoy solving challenges in order to find better solutions. You have the ability to translate project targets into tangible actions and are able to motivate and set demands on the project contributors to fulfil the targets. If needed, you will roll up your sleeves to support with various tasks. We expect you to be motivated by a high pace and we assure you a possibility to influence new business for Scania as well as tomorrow 's society.
Most likely you have a commercial or technical university degree or equivalent experience and have several years of experience within a project or area management position. You are fluent in English and it is a plus if you know additional languages.
