Job Description
Are you an accomplished Software Asset Management Professional looking to amplify your impact in the world of tech and fashion? Join us at H&M as a Commercial Specialist, where you will drive the optimization of software assets and licensing.
Role Overview:
As a Commercial Specialist, you will join the Software Asset Management (SAM) team consisting of four other experienced colleagues and you will report to the Head of Admin & Governance. The SAM team was established for many years but has recently been redefined and implemented a new SAM program and operating model.
Most of your time will be spent working as an appointed Software License Manager for specific software vendors collaborating with and serving several Service and Product Owners. Besides ensuring optimization, compliance, and investment support you will ensure alignment of SAM-program and SAM-plan in all cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Work in a SAM (Software Asset Management) tool for compliance checks and management of software entitlements.
Take the role of SAM SME driving initiatives regarding SAM program and operating model.
Drive compliance and sourcing support activities with internal stakeholders.
Support team members and periodically assume responsibility for team tasks and mailbox management.
Enable software assets to be optimized and correctly licensed (compliant)
Provide systematic visibility of the licensing position and costs.
Identify, qualify, and report on software to Product owners, service owners, and controllers.
Support, monitor, and drive the evolvement of SAM guardrails.
Enable SAM tool capability to visualize certified licensed software to the accountable stakeholders.
Provide ELP, guidance, insights, and actionable consumption data to BT management in making strategic decisions.
Align responsibility and cooperate with relevant BT supporting Functions regarding software.
Set a strategy with a focus on innovation and disruption, identifying durable competitive advantages.
Mentor and coach team members, demonstrating leadership and fostering a culture of customer empathy.

Qualifications
Experience with SAM tools and technologies, preferably Xensam.
Expertise in Software License Management, particularly with Oracle and IBM
Demonstrated self-leadership with the ability to follow directions including the ability to initiate and complete initiatives aligned with team priorities.
Over 10 years of professional experience with at least 7 years working in SAM.
Strong capability to create value in a short time frame, including during brief onboarding periods.
