Saab Kockums is growing with exciting new business for our naval surface vessels and submarines. In order to meet our growth the Commercial department needs to strengthen its capability and is now looking for a new dedicated and senior member.
Your Role
As Commercial & Partnership Developer you will take the lead in structuring the business setup and negotiating contract terms & conditions with potential strategic partners, local industries and local governmental authorities (e.g. offset authorities in potential customer countries). You will work in close cooperation with the key stakeholders in our business units, strategy department and other functions, including our Corporate Industrial Cooperation (IC) department.
Your main responsibilities are:
* Structuring and give direction to the business setup of strategic partnership and other industrial co-operations
* Understand risks in complex business setups and contracts and manage them contractually
* Engage in dialogue with partners and local governmental authorities
* Preparations and negotiation of contract terms & conditions with strategic partners, local industries and local governmental authorities
* Interact with internal/external expertise and stakeholders in order to cover all relevant commercial aspects
* Support to the organization as relates general questions related to IC.
You will report directly to the Head of Commercial at Saab Kockums.
Your profile:
You are a "doer" and are comfortable working independently within your area of competence as well as with other team members or functions in order to secure quality, compliance and to meet deadlines. You have a strong business acumen together with strong social and communication skills and you have a natural drive for performance and accountability. An understanding and interest of the business and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems and mitigate risks will be essential.
In order to be successful in this position we think you have the following qualities:
* Hands on experience from previous commercial/business development roles
* Experienced in negotiations and working with complex agreements
* Experience from working in an international arena
* A drive, tenacity and a passion to win
* An eye for details and an analytical mind
* Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbally and writing.
The position will require both domestic and international travel. The position is based in Malmö for now, but offices will move to Lund in 2025.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
