What you will be a part of
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
Business Unit Gripen Brazil within business area Saab Aeronautics is responsible for executing the Gripen Brazil contract, as well as related contracts and for follow-on business in the country. Gripen Brazil is a multi-billion contract with an execution time exceeding ten years, including delivery of a complete weapon system with 36 aircraft, as well as a large content of offset activities, the majority related to technology transfer.
We are now looking for a person to fill the position as Commercial Manager within the business unit.



Your role
In your role as the Commercial Manager in the Business Unit Gripen Brazil you will be part of the commercial team managing various contract management matters in close cooperation with the business unit team.
Your duties and responsibilities within Business Unit Gripen Brazil will include:* Ensuring a strong and professional contract management within the Business Unit Gripen Brazil.* Performing legal Support and being able to advice the program management- and Business Unit- team with regards to contract matters.* Planning and Leading Contract Amendments.* Participating and advising in contract negotiations.* Proactively controlling and monitoring commercial risks and opportunities.* Drafting and issuing formal correspondence with the customer.* Project Manage and leading cost and pricing activities within the Business Unit Gripen Brazil.The Commercial Manager reports to Commercial lead within the Business Unit Gripen Brazil, but will have a strong and frequent interface with the entire business unit team. Within the business unit we strive to have a flat organization where people help and support each other in all aspects of working life. The position includes both national and international travels, sometimes with short notice.

Your skills and experience
You have some years of work experience in a Commercial Role within defense industry. It is required that you can easily connect, maintain and manage relations with different people regardless of cultural background. It is demanded that you have good ability to manage parallel tasks and work well in your role even under pressing working conditions. It is important that you are very good at expressing yourself both when talking and writing in Swedish and English. It is regarded as an advantage if you know Portuguese, but it is not a requirement.
You have a solid personality and can act with integrity and credibility. You are also responsive, honest, trustworthy and collaborative.
You probably have a Master degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law or in another main subject relevant to this commercial role.
Strong working knowledge:

You should be able to discuss and negotiate, both within Saab and with the customer.
You should have experience in contractual and commercial matters
You should have experience in managing projects or as an integral part in a project management team
You should have a knowledge of international business relations and managing cultural barriers
It is an advantage if you have a have good finance and treasury understanding
It is an advantage if you have a broad knowledge of the Gripen weapon system and the Saab Aeronautic organization

This Commercial Manager Role can be tailored to fit the experience of the right applicant.This position includes access to classified information, therefore you are required to conduct a security screening in accordance with the Protective Security Act and be approved for security clearance by the authority.
