hela Sverige The position has responsibilities within business planning and bidding activities for the Scandinavian market. You report for line management purposes to the Director Scandinavia and for project purposes to the relevant Bid Director.
You understand the public transport market and the market drivers. Although our focus is on rail services it is an advantage if you have knowledge of the bus and light rail sector as well. You are responsible for keeping up-to-date records of the pipeline through regular meetings with tendering authorities where you also present and promote Abellio's capabilities.
You have experience in dealing with important commercial business issues, particularly relating to bidding situations, and knowledge of demand and revenue forecasting. You will also have some understanding of planning and executing marketing programmes in the public transport sector. You will be responsible for preparing the commercial plans relating to identified business opportunities following the EFQM/RADAR approach.
Knowledge of quality and project management methodologies, preferable EFQM/RADAR and familiarity with PRINCE2 is an advantage. You most likely have a suitable university degree and/or sufficient industry experience for the position. You are fluent in Swedish and confident in communicating in the other Scandinavian languages and English.

• A general understanding of public rail transport
• Experience with large complex commercial business issues and bidding
• Preferable knowledge from operational domains within a transport company (rail operator and/or bus/airline company)
• Understanding and experience in demand modelling
• Broad experience from customer service function within a transport organization/authority
• A well organised and devoted approach to her/his work as well as a focus on details
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to write reports and plans, analyse and present risks.
• Knowledge of quality and project management methodologies, preferable EFQM and RADAR, Familiarity with PRINCE2 (Foundation level) is an advantage
• Flexible and able to work to tight deadlines with capability to recover after setbacks and changes to plan
About the candidates:
• Are likely to have a university degree supplemented with studies in human resource management
• Probably 10 years experience in operational/commercial department with a strong drive to improve efficiency, in a commercial and competitive environment
• Project management skills and confident with working towards tight deadlines
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and the ability and confident in communication in the other Scandinavian languages and English
