We have an exciting opportunity for a legal counsel who can work within a fast-paced and challenging scale-up organization. In this role, you will join a dynamic team of in-house lawyers who focus on creative and proactive legal guidance in starting up a new car brand. You will play an important role in the Polestar team by supporting the company in its growth and expansion.
You will be part of the Polestar Global Legal Team and be located at our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you'll do
As a Commercial Legal Counsel Procurement you will provide legal support in all kind of matters, from non-complex to complex nature and with different level of risk. Your support includes e.g. drafting of all types of contracts and legal documents, negotiation, legal research and advice, risk assessments, supervision of external legal advisors, legal training, and compliance and ethics, with a main focus on supporting the Polestar procurement team.
You will handle matters independently and with full responsibility. Polestar has a global footprint and you will be interacting and collaborating with a diverse and international team of colleagues in all areas of the business. This is one of the most exciting legal counsel jobs of today!
Who you are
You have worked 4-6 years as a lawyer at a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel, handling various commercial legal matters. You are a generalist with a broad experience, preferably within both B2B and B2C, and have experience of review and negotiation of commercial agreements in particular. Experience of procurement, especially procurement of digital products involving reviews of license agreements and software as a service, is a merit. You are a great team player with a problem-solving and business-oriented mind-set. You are able to translate legal advice into useful business actions. At Polestar, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.
