Assignment description
Jefferson Wells is now hiring a Combustion Chamber Mechanical integrity Calculation engineer to reinforce the combustion group. Your team will be responsible for the development of the combustion system in the gas turbines.
Your work involves development of new gas turbine models and improvements on currently available gas turbines in the company portfolio. Your work includes tasks correlated both with testing and theoretical calculations. As a combustion engineer you will work with non-linear MI calculations including plasticity, creep and oxidation.
You will have a great possibility to collaborate with colleagues in other divisions such as project leaders, mechanical designers, mechanical integrity experts. You will be responsible for contacts with further departments, such as combustion laboratory, gas turbines control system, electrical installation site commissioning, sales and fleet service.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
We are looking for a person that has a BSc, MSc or PhD level within the area; combustion, chemistry, energy, mechanical design or equal.
Required skills:
* Skilled with non-linear MI calculations, plasticity, creep and oxidation.
* NX Nastran pre-processing(meshing etc.)
* Abaqus
* Swedish and English, both verbally and written
Desirable skills:
* Additive manufactured components and how to perform MI calculations on those materials.
* NX Nastran, calculation and post-processing
* Teamcenter
* NX CAD, geometry creation and modification
