National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (Nevs) builds on the Saab Automobile AB legacy of innovative power, quality, progressive design and a firm commitment to environmental and safety issues. Our aim is to be a front runner in the automotive industry, with focus on electric vehicles.

Research, development and manufacturing is a match between Swedish know-how in manufacturing and design and Japanese advanced technology. Research and development is conducted as a collaborative effort between Swedish, Japanese, and Chinese engineers.

The plant at Trollhättan is the main hub of National Electric Vehicle Sweden, including head office, research & development and manufacturing.

Description
Our Engineering department is now creating a strong foundation of skills and we are therefore looking for a Color and Trim designer, creative design.
This position includes:

•        Responsibility for developing new vehicle concepts in conjunction with the
        NEVS/Saab corporate identity and strategy.

•        Suggest creative and innovative materials that push the boundaries of
        technology and meets the customer expectations.

•        Develop new design solutions for automotive vehicles.

•        Support world class quality execution of innovative exterior and interior
        production programs and concepts.

•        Integrate customer focused needs and brand differentiation into all aesthetic
        proposals.

•        Work independently with a full range of interior and exterior color and trim
        materials.

•        Create original design ideas in accordance to the brand identity.

•        Make perspective sketches, collages and renderings in scale and full size
        sufficient to communicate new design ideas.

•        Work with studio engineers, modelers, other designers in the development of
        new ideas in both two and three dimensional form to required finish.

•        Close and regular cooperation with suppliers.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:

•           Relevant experience in the work area, at least 5 years, preferably in the
           automotive industry.

•           University engineering education or equivalent experience.

•           Drivers license B

You master English, both spoken and written.

To be successful in this role, you need to:

•           Have photoshop experience and textile Design skills.

•           Have full spectrum to identify and distinguish color.

•           Be creative, solution-oriented and open minded.

•           Have good communication skills.

•           Have excellent automotive industry knowledge.

•           Be able to plan and prioritize.

Terms
National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
