Required repertoire: Mozart: Concerto in G-major (K.313) 1st and 2nd movement with cadenzas, Nielsen: Concerto for Flute and Orchestra 1st movement, orchestral excerpts.

MSO regularly commissions and premieres compelling new compositions and popular arrangements catering to a broad and varied public. MSO records exclusively with major labels and has received multiple international awards for these recordings.
Our long tradition of engaging children and young people continues to grow through a popular series of family concerts and our partnerships with both the Malmö Kulturskola and El Sistema.
From the 2015-2016 season we will take residence in our new concert hall, creating exciting new musical possibilities in a truly state-of-the-art facility. We currently operate with an annual budget of over 100 million SEK (2104) and a core staff of 115. As artists we aim to benefit both citizens and businesses through our vital role in the dynamic and expanding Öresund region.
