The SKF Group Manufacturing Development Centre in Gothenburg is the central research and development facility for manufacturing processes used in SKF. With 65 employees of various nationalities its role is to reinforce SKF's technical leadership in manufacturing and processing of rolling bearings and related products.

  CNC/ICT System Development Specialist

 We are now looking for a CNC / ICT system development specialist with programming skills to participate in the development of new ICT solutions for the SKF organisation.

 Key responsibilities

• Develop ICT functionalities for SKF manufacturing processes.
• Specify and develop machine integration solutions to fit existing machines in SKF, including modification of machine controllers for generating correct signals that can be retrieved to the shop floor network
• Evaluate, select and specify machine communication software (e.g. IFM Line Recorder, Echo and Echo Collect).
• Specify interfaces between the machine integration and MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
• Support other teams in development of machine control systems

Your Profile

Prerequisits

• University degree in electronic / data engineering or equivalent
• Documented experience in machine control system development, especially NC and PLC programming.
• Understanding and experience in general programming (C++, .net, Java or similar)
• Positive attitude with the ability to inspire, coach and influence people and have ability to interact and create shared commitment.
• Good communication skills, being fluent in English.
• High level of own drive and commitment.
• Curious networker with a solution-oriented mind set.
• Ability to keep yourself and others updated within your competence area

Advantages

• Experience and good knowledge in machine to machine communication (e.g. IT platforms and shop floor networks, OPC protocol) is an advantage.
• Knowledge in working with MES is also an advantage.
