The customer is committed to delivering cutting-edge digital workplace solutions that empower employees and clients to work smarter and more efficiently. They believe that a well-maintained Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is essential to achieving this goal. The customer is currently seeking a talented and experienced CMDB Specialist to join their dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continual improvement of the digital workplace services.
Position Overview:
As a CMDB Specialist for Digital Workplace you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Operations, and Service Delivery, to support a wide range of services, including hardware, virtual machines, automations, and continual improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: CMDB Management: Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the CMDB in ServiceNow. Ensure that all configuration items (CIs) are properly documented, and relationships are well-defined.
ServiceNow Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of ServiceNow to configure, customize, and optimize the CMDB module to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Hardware and Virtual Machine Tracking: Monitor and track the lifecycle of hardware assets, including servers, laptops, and mobile devices. Manage virtual machine inventories and configurations.
Automation Support: Collaborate with automation teams to integrate automated processes and scripts into the CMDB. Ensure that all automated changes are accurately reflected in the CMDB.
Continual Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within CMDB management and digital workplace services. Implement best practices and enhancements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including CMDB policies, procedures, and standards. Provide training to team members and end-users as needed.
Qualifications: Proven experience working with CMDB in the ServiceNow platform.
Strong knowledge of ITIL practices, particularly in the areas of Configuration Management and Change Management.
Experience in hardware and virtual machine management.
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
ServiceNow certifications are a plus.

Clarification of time required for security clearance:
The client is subject to security protection legislation, which means that the assignment may be classified as secure, and a security clearance of the supplier/consultant is required.
The extent of the security clearance will be communicated at a later stage in the selection process.
The process for establishing a Security Protection Agreement and conducting a registry check is estimated to take approximately six to eight weeks from the assignment being assigned, but it may take longer or shorter. The consultant's assignment cannot be started until this process has been completed and the start date has been communicated by the client.
