Your day-to-day
In your day-to-day role, you will
On a more practical level, you will design and maintain the infrastructure and resources needed to run large scale data pipelines. Additionally, you will manage and maintain our Google Cloud Platform organization.
With that in mind, here you will get the opportunity to:
Govern the infrastructure and resources in GCP (primarily) and AWS
Experiment fearlessly, take responsibilities, and grow your expertise to the next level.
Ensure that Compliance and Security standards are adhered to.
Enable internal stakeholders to leverage GCP resources for their needs.
Collaborate with the rest of Data Platform team, in a cross-functional way, to deliver value and reach team goals.
Drive projects and implementations within our team's areas of responsibility.
On-call duties may be required.
What do you need to bring
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be managing resources and infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform. The infrastructure is defined in Terraform and we are using both continuous integration and deployment.
Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform tools and services
Solid knowledge of Terraform and IaC (for orchestration and configuration)
Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD solutions
Kubernetes management and deployments
Experience in Bash or Python
Strong communication skills
Bonus: It's a bonus if you have working experience with Java, Kotlin, Airflow, Spark, Beam, or BigQuery.
