Intelligent Transport Systems is a newly created section within the Connected and Autonomous Systems department at Scania R&D. Our mission is to provide connected and autonomous transport solutions. The Intelligent Transport Systems section will contribute to that mission by providing offboard systems for automated, optimized and safe vehicle control and monitoring.
Assignment
You will be a developer in our Intelligent Transport System Cloud team. The ITS Cloud is the link between our Connected and Autonomous vehicles and the digital transport infrastructure. We integrate our cloud to multiple external partners, creating a digital ecosystem for transport. We currently work with functions like dynamic and real-time maps, intelligent access control to public infrastructure, and much more. The ITS cloud is at the heart of the development of connected and autonomous vehicles at Scania.
We work in an agile and fully team-oriented way, with autonomous and product-oriented teams. Teams are responsible for the entire product development, including strategy and roadmap, architecture, development, testing and operations. In this team we do some of the in-vehicle embedded software ourselves, just to work more efficiently. The team work with both research as well as product development, but with a clear mission to deliver products to our customers.
Your profile
We are looking for people who combine software-development skills with an engineering attitude of innovation and product development. You are a team player and understand the principles behind exceptional team work.
You should have competence in, or a strong will to learn:
• Cloud development in Amazon WS
• C# .NET, backend or fullstack developer
• Agile development methodologies, like CI/CD, TDD, SCRUM and other standard modern development methods.
• Strong thinking in software modularisation and code quality
You have a BSc/Msc in Engineering, or similar experience.
