We are now looking to hire a Clinical Research Physician/Study Physician within the Inflammation/Autoimmunity (Rheumatology-Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) area, to our site in Gothenburg, Sweden or Warsaw, Poland.

As a Physician in the Global Medicines Development within AstraZeneca, you will be given the opportunity to work in a dynamic international working environment, with opportunities to meet and discuss with key experts, other medical colleagues and experts in basic science, as well as commercial and regulatory functions.

As a Physician at AstraZeneca you will conduct clinical trials, including the design, start up, monitoring, data interpretation and reporting. An important task is to ensure that all clinical studies operate to the highest ethical and safety standards and in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements. You will also support the clinical project team and assist the Global Clinical Lead (GCL) with the design & interpretation process, establishing clear design objectives for clinical programs and studies. You will provide medical input into the content of core labelling texts and medical support for commercial activities, as well as the scientific component of the pricing and value strategy. You will also provide medical and scientific expertise as well as tactical and strategic medical input to the development of AstraZeneca's compounds; primarily from Phase II to Phase IV.
Essential Requirements
• Medical Degree.
• Board certification in a relevant clinical specialty such as rheumatology, nephrology, clinical immunology, internal medicine, or other relevant specialty.
Desirable Requirements
• Experience from medical research at any level, a PhD will be seen as a strong merit.
• Indirect or direct industry drug development experience and experience of designing and conducting clinical studies is preferable.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively and to respect other working cultures, including academic partners.
• Team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
