The Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFD) group, belonging to
Research & Development, has a long tradition in using CFD as a tool for
engineering and design process. We are currently 12 persons working with the
areas of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, climate comfort, aero acoustics and
contamination. In all areas we work in teams with attribute
responsible, test engineers, stylists and designers to develop and verify the
attributes and systems in our future products. An important part of our work is
to continuously improve our working processes and methods. Cooperation with the
other brands within Ford Motor Company is done on virtually everyday basis, both
in shared vehicle projects and method development. Furthermore, close
cooperation with universities and participation in global research programs are
an essential part of our long term development. Job description:
As a climate comfort CFD engineer you will be involved in planning,
preparing and carry out CFD analysis in all phases of vehicle programs. This
includes for example development and evaluation of defrosters, ventilation
ducts, complete HVAC systems and overall thermal comfort in the passenger
compartment. You will work closely with the development engineers at the
climate comfort system engineering department. An important part of your work is
to communicate the CFD results in the organization and also make
recommendations for climate comfort improvements. Qualifications:
Higher technical education, preferably Master in Science or Ph.d. in
fluid mechanics or equivalent Proven industrial and/or academic experience
in CFD will be highly valued Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and/or
English, preferably Today our main tools is ANSA, Harpoon, Tgrid, Fluent and
Ensight and skills in all or some of them will be highly valued.
Personal profile: Strong interest in affecting the product using
CFD Driven and Self-motivated Self-starting characteristics with good
analytical skills Creative interest in developing methods and processes
Positive mindset with an understanding for cooperative processes Team
player High communication skills.
