hela Sverige HUB A is HVDC's Civil Construction Office with responsibility for construction planning of Civil Works for HVDC's converter stations as well as for monitoring of building contractors around the world. The department consists of civil design, subcontracting and civil management.
As Civil Tender Manager you will participate and coordinate tenders for Civil Construction Works for our global projects worth hundreds of millions SEK. The tenders usually run between three to six months and you will be part of the entire tender process. You will also make sure that the tenders are executed in accordance with technical specifications within given time frames and budget. You will participate in technical solutions and follow the tender process to contract award. From a construction-engineering point of view you have experience from tenders in works in geotechnical works, earthworks, foundations, industrialized steel constructions, Climate systems and HVAC, Fire Protection and small power and lighting among others. This position provides you with a large responsibility for the tender in our construction projects and the opportunity to advance within one of the leading companies in the industry.
To be suitable for this role you have several years of experience in tender of construction projects with good knowledge of the construction process. As a foundation you probably hold a Construction Engineering degree or similar and may have a Project Management or Construction Management background. It is an advantage if you have previously worked within the energy industry and if you have experience of Substations or HVDC. It is equally advantageous if you have design and planning skills. The position includes domestic and international travel.
Fluency in French and English is required, whereas knowledge of German and Spanish is a plus.
As Civil Tender Manager you will work closely with projects and tender teams. This is why it is a prerequisite that you have strong collaboration skills and confidence when holding meetings and leading your colleagues in their work. On a personal level you are structured and self-confident to handle both ups and downs. Based on your industry experience you also manage to find solutions to any problem that might occur.
You will be part of HVDC within the Power Grids division in Ludvika Sweden and located in our Paris office. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.
