Circio has established a unique circular RNA (circRNA) vector expression technology for next generation RNA, DNA and viral therapeutics. The proprietary circVec platform is based on a modular genetic cassette design for efficient biogenesis of multifunctional circRNA inside cells. The circVec platform has applications in multiple therapeutic settings, including genetic medicine, cell therapy and chronic disease. It has demonstrated 70-fold increased RNA half-life and up to 15-fold enhanced protein expression vs. conventional mRNA vector systems in vivo, and has the potential to become a new gold-standard protein expression technology. The circRNA R&D activities are being conducted by the wholly owned subsidiary Circio AB in Stockholm, Sweden.

Collaborate closely with team members, offering ideas and input on ongoing research and development
We're looking for someone who:
Has a background in molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or a related field (preferable with a master's degree, 2+ years industry experience or similar)
Is enthusiastic about lab work and eager to learn new techniques
Communicates clearly in English and enjoys working in a diverse, team-based setting
Is curious, detail-oriented, and ready to take initiative with the support of experienced colleagues
It's a Plus If You Have Experience With:
Basic lab techniques like cloning, PCR, Western blotting, RT-qPCR, or flow cytometry
Cell culture, including immune or tumor cells
Gene delivery methods (viral or non-viral)
Data analysis and visualization using Excel, Graphpad, Python, R, or similar tools
Writing scientific reports and summarizing data in powerpoint presentations
Don't worry if you don't check every box-we're happy to train the right person!
Why Join Us?
Be part of a passionate, international R&D team working on transformative therapies
Learn from experienced scientists in a supportive, mentorship-focused environment
Gain exposure to both academic and industry-style research
Contribute to exciting projects that can make a real difference
If you're looking for your first step into a scientific career outside of academia-or a chance to grow your experience in a dynamic biotech setting-we'd love to hear from you. We can offer varied and exciting work in an innovative and dynamic biotech company. We promise you will develop professionally with challenging tasks in a growing company, as you participate in the development of novel treatments.
