About this opportunity
Join our Application Server Automation - Platform Engineering team! You will collaborate with an amazing group of individuals worldwide to deliver solutions to our application developers and business stakeholders. As a team member, you'll be responsible for architecting, implementing and managing automation for infrastructure and middleware provisioning, as well as building systems to support development initiatives.
* Building Continuous Integration and Deployment systems to fully support an end-to-end pipeline for developers and teams (utilizing Ansible, Python, Jenkins, Tekton, Argo CD).
* Creating automation for application servers and middleware provisioning as well as for service deployments.
* Developing new features for our middleware on container platforms (such as Kubernetes).
* Conducting regular code reviews and committing the code on a daily basis.
* Mentoring and pair programming with junior team members.
Our Toolchain
We utilize a comprehensive toolchain including: Tekton, Argo CD, Kong Gateway, Terraform, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, IntelliJ, Maven, Oracle WebLogic Server, OSB, Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence, AWX, Groovy, Pkl.
Who you are
To excel in this role, we're looking for someone who:
* Is a system developer/engineer willing to collaborate, take ownership and responsibility for their code.
* Has passion for IT and the courage to innovate, automate and integrate between technology stacks.
* Is a team player with experience and willingness to work in agile setup.
* Thinks outside the box and is ready to challenge the status quo.
* Has some Unix systems experience.
* Has knowledge of networking in cloud environment.
* Previous API management software experience is a plus (any API gateway software like Mulesoft Anypoint, IBM API Connect, Kong Gateway).
* 4+ years of work experience IT infrastructure Engineering
Preferred Development Practices:
* We follow best practices such as GitOps, Everything as Code, Automation, CI/CD, Pair Programming, Code Reviews, Style Guide.
