Join our Team
About this opportunity:
We are looking for a driven engineer to join our team and help build the software production system for something millions of people use every day for one of our most profound needs as human beings - communication.
We work with radio base stations, at the core of mobile communication, enablers of emerging technologies. Our products are involved in anything from streaming video, coordinating IoT-enabled factories, to old-school voice communication like calling grandma.
You will play an important part in our magnificent team, implementing new features, improving performance, and building elegant CI/CD solutions that keep the product code flowing for an enormous number of developers.
Our CI system goes beyond building and populating linear pipelines. We deliver massive amounts of artifacts daily, with a large contingent of CI engineers supporting just our part of the full product build. We do not write testcases - we enable our many developers to do so themselves, while we build the system that runs uncountable numbers of tests every day. The end products each integrate code from a collection of developers the size of a small city. Despite this enormous scale, products are customer-ready in a matter of hours.
If you want experience with a world-class integration system, this is the job for you!
What you will do:
• Own, maintain and develop a complex system producing thousands of critical software artifacts per day.
• Work in an agile team that owns the full end-to-end responsibility for multiple systems and tools.
• Collaborate closely with other developers both within and outside the team.
• Innovate and create new solutions in an encouraging environment.
• Enjoy our awesome office in Gothenburg at the river waterfront.
[ed. note: you can reach the river with a fishing rod from most of the balconies, but the building security staff will put a stop to it if discovered. Proven facts.]
Who you are:
• You are a skilled developer with a passion for technology and software development.
• You want an environment where you can innovate and grow in both technical and organizational skills.
• You enjoy inventing solutions and learning new technologies.
• You thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• You care deeply about writing maintainable code.
• You are communicative and work well with diverse teams.
The skills you bring:
• Familiarity with:
• GNU/Linux, bash, python, git.
• Scrum/kanban
• Fluency in English.
• Experience and significant interest in one or more of...
• Software build systems
• Software testing frameworks
• Container-/cloud systems
• CI/CD/DevOps
• SW production system security
• Enormous, scalable automation systems
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in a relevant area (e.g. within Electrical Engineering, Data communication, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, Engineering Physics) or equivalent formal education.
Meritorious but optional:
• Programming experience: C++, Rust, Java
• Leadership experience/ambitions
What we offer:
We offer an open atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for personal development. A culture where sharing knowledge and helping each other comes as natural as challenging existing ways of working and continuously striving to improve.
Apart from offering a unique environment working with great developers, we offer a modern work environment. When taking a break, there is free fresh human-brewed coffee in our in-house café, multiple flexible social areas, three saunas and a well-equipped gym with both solo- and arranged group training sessions. We also provide compensation for medical costs, monthly lunch benefits and a maximized wellness benefit.
We also offer a diverse multi-cultural workplace, where everyone is given equal opportunities to succeed. Our teams are highly diverse, and our projects span across multiple countries.
Do you want to join a great team? Send us your application in English already today!
Work Location:
This position is based in Göteborg in our top facility at Lindholmen Science Park.
