As Developer, you will be part of a multi-functional feature team responsible for developing features for one of BDGS main DevOps assets; SW Delivery Pipeline Continuous Delivery and Deployment Product, used to deliver BDGS Products as CI&CD to customer NWs. The Product is implemented as Cloud Native Product as Services deployed onto Cloud Container Distribution (CCD) environments.
What you will do
Perform development (scripting), integration and testing of existing CDD components (e.g. Jenkins)
Build template workflows for the automation of delivery and deployment
Create guidelines, user guides, CPI etc.
Introduce prototyping improvements
Identify detailed requirements on components
Orchestrate SWDP CDD development (VNF, PNF, CNF)
Perform SW distribution and on-boarding development
Create policy function
Support roll-out
Help implement continuous improvements of the tool chain, as well as the processes in and around it
Develop and evolve your competence in the technical domains around CI, CD&D, Cloud Native and DevOps
You will bring
Domain experience: previous work in R&D
Experience from SI and scripting work or equivalent (a must). Specialty and interest in CD&D, CI and DevOps (a huge plus)
Business understanding: knowledge for what the SW Delivery Pipeline will be used for and why
Ability to work with people and perform networking (ability to agree with developers and architects within Ericsson)
Ability to innovate, adapt and respond to change (you continuously improve your knowledge in the area of CI and CD&D, in order to keep the SWDP a competitive tools' chain)
Eagerness to deliver results and meet Sprint commitments
Communication and collaboration skills
Personality: curious, open-minded, collaborative team worker, perseverant, eager to learn
Technical Skills
Experience in Agile development (SCRUM)
Experience in code version control system (e.g. Gerrit/Git)
Knowledge in CI/CD, Python, HELM, Kubernetes
Cloud Native
Containerization (Docker)
Microservices Development
REST
Webhooks (JSON, YAML (payloads))
Testing Frameworks (CI/CD)
Test Automation
Good knowledge in NFS, S3, SQL, No-SQL
Extensive use of Spinnaker & Jenkins
Secure Coding methodologies
Database knowledge and experience SQL/No-SQL software's like MySQL, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL
File/object Storage systems- Good knowledge in NFS, S3 or more
Bash/Shell scripting
Solid knowledge in computer networking, protocols and structures:
IP, IPsec
TCP, UPD, SCTP
HTTP, FTP, TLS / SSL
REST API and RPC (RMI)
XML, json
