Are you the new Nordnet CTO who takes us into the next era of digital disruption? Nordnet's IT-function is looking for a new engaging leader who can inspire the teams to deliver new products and services to our customers at speed! And at the same time ensure that our current IT solutions operate in a stable and flawless manner.
The IT-function is divided into an operations-team, a platform-team and a number of cross-functional teams with focus on developing new business solutions and with a cool mix of employees from both IT and Innovation.
This is part of the role
As CTO you will lead Nordnet's IT function, today comprising 70+ people. You report to our CEO, Håkan Nyberg, as you are part of the Group Management team. You have the overall responsibility for planning and directing the work within the IT-function. No pressure, but you will optimize the IT development agenda, ensure closedown of legacy systems and ensure that IT operations run smoothly. You inspire with an engaging leadership and master the balance between understanding the depth of the operation without getting caught in micro management. You naturally contribute in the Group Management team beyond your immediate area of responsibility.
This is you
You have a genuine technical background and broad experience of leading IT-functions, preferably as a Group Management team member. You understand the complexity of IT in the banking industry where speed, accuracy and reliability is a magic equation. Your people management skills are excellent and you are known for creating a strong sense of belonging and happiness among your employees. The fire is naturally within you when it comes to agile and distributed ways of working, where your teams are the heroes - not yourself. You drive, push and dare to challenge existing structures and norms. You create enthusiasm and engagement but are at the same time realistic on organizing resources and plan activities. We value experience from matrix organizations and expect you to create high performing teams.
Most likely you have 7+ years' experience from an IT-function where you have learnt the hardware and software of banking. A relevant university degree and language skills both in Swedish and English are prerequisites. You are a superb communicator on all types of occasions and sell an employer brand well in order to attract new IT talents.
