The gambling industry continues to move at pace. Advancements in technology, evolving consumer habits, and greater access to data, all push sportsbook suppliers and operators to become increasingly adaptable and innovative if they are to succeed.
It is in this context that Kambi is looking to appoint a business-minded visionary to assume the newly created role of Chief Product Officer (CPO). Reporting into the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, the CPO will be expected to oversee and drive product creation from initial strategy to successful implementation and adaptations.
The CPO must have a great passion and understanding for both the sports betting end-user product as well as what it entails to be a successful Sportsbook supplier. While navigating the challenges associated with developing a B2B product for a B2C audience, the CPO shall implement an agenda capable of aligning the product development efforts and prioritizations to the organisation's key business goals.
Key Responsibilities
• To take ownership of product strategy, innovation, and development ranging from Trading technology to UX.
• To own Kambi's Product Discovery process and Roadmap.
• To through a close connection to the market and customers understand the needs of the business to guide product development and ensure product exceeds the expectations and requirements of both B2B customers and their end-users.
• To lead, enthuse and grow an already large team of product managers, product owners, designers and product marketers, clearly communicating the motivations behind chosen product strategies, priorities and roadmaps to staff, developers, business stakeholders and marketing and sales functions.
• To drive the transition of Kambi into an insight-led company - one increasingly capable of creating betting experiences for the players and better services for the operators in a more efficient manner.
• To grow Kambi's product development abilities and performance through use of best practices, engaging product & service development culture and an ability to attract talent in the field of product development.
• To form part of the executive management team; required to input into strategy, devise and clearly define product goals, ensure support for other areas of the business, and more generally promote the executive team's strategic vision and philosophy.
About you
• Strong leadership and communication skills, will be required. You have held senior leadership positions in the past where you have demonstrated an ability to create high performing organisations and teams.
• Experience in the gambling industry is desired, a genuine interest in sports betting as well as the desire to understand the behaviours of the end users is considered a must.
• You are excellent in translating market needs to product requirements on a high level and vice versa you are probably an excellent marketer that can translate product aspects to marketing communication and messaging.
• Preference will be given to those able to demonstrate a track record of efficient product innovation and development, particularly when based upon data-generated insights mixed with great intuition.
The job is located in central Stockholm, and will involve travel to our London, Manila and Bucharest offices as well as to customer and prospects.
