hela Sverige The European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Chief Information Security Officer position at the Division for Environment, Health, Safety and Quality.
Description of division
You will join the Environment, Health, Safety and Quality unit, reporting to the Associate Directorfor ESH&Q and to the Director General for the ESS facility. The unit supports, monitors and assures the implementation of ESS policies, rules, processes, objectives as well as best practices at all levels of the organization in environment, safety, health and quality matters. This includes also security and information security aspects for design, installation and commissioning as well as the future operation of the facility.
Description of main responsibilities
The Chief Information Security Officer is a senior-level executive position for developing and implementing an information security program, which includes procedures and policies designed to protect enterprise communications, systems and assets from both internal and external threats.
The position includes the following task and responsibilities:
• Establish an information security management system with an associated program
• Manage internal and external information security requirements according to laws, regulations and business specifics
• Create and enforce company common security policies and processes
• Coordinate information security activities and drive an ESS information security forum
• Provide support and guidance to ESS stakeholders, such as interpretation of regulations, security testing, review of procedures, recommendations
• Provide information and awareness training on information security
• Coordinate efforts related to personal data protection
• Follow-up on security status and activities
• Serve as primary contact for external parties and stakeholders in information security matters
• Plan and initiate technical and non-technical audit activities
• Perform risk assessments in cooperation with ESS risk management process
• Review investigations after breaches or incidents for remediation and improvements
You are expected to travel to a moderate extent, primarily within Europe
Qualifications
Required competencies:
• Master degree in computer science or similar educational background
• Excellent knowledge with a broad theoretical background on information security, including experience on practical application
• Significant experience with information security management preferably from research or development facilities
• Familiar with security standards such as SS-ISO/IEC 27001, IAEA NSS No 17 and IEC62443
• Relevant certifications includes CISA, CISM (ISACA) and/or CISSP (ISC2)
• Some leadership/management experiences relevant for an information security context

Duration & Location & condition
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
The position requires security clearance.
