RUAG Space is a company within the global space business. The company markets, develops and produces products for satellites and launchers to a large number of different projects and applications. We are located in Switzerland, Sweden and Austria with high technology units. Our product range includes for instance computers, antennas, frequency converters, fairings, separation systems, structures, optics etc. Our products enable the excellent function of satellites for communication, broadcasting, navigation, research, exploration, climate surveillance and weather forecasts amongst others.
Job description
We are looking for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) who will manage the IT-units within the Swedish company and coordination of IT-strategy within the Space Division (on group level)
The post as CIO includes daily operation and strategic development for our IT tools and methods. You will work 50% for RUAG Space AB and 50% for the Division Space.
Tasks for RUAG Space are
• Managing the IT applications, portfolio, systems and projects
• Managing the IT functions
• Responsible for the IT-process
• Develop and implement the IT-strategy
• Responsible for communication tools and methods
• Responsible for the IT budget
• Responsibility for IT investments
Tasks for the Space Division
• Coordinate the project portfolios for Switzerland, Sweden and Austria
• Member of the RUAG CIO Conference (strategic road map and corporate standards)
• Responsible for develop, implementing and verifying the IT standards

Qualifications
You have a Master degree in computer science, business IT engineering or comparable at the technical college level. We prefer that you have experience in high tech industry with both product development, engineering and production. You have experience in IT infrastructure, IT applications development, IT project management and IT operations as well as proven business qualifications.
You should be an outgoing and resourceful person with good analytical skills and a strong desire to continually evolve and learn more.
Since we have operations in several countries, it is desirable that you have good knowledge of both spoken and written English, knowledge of German would be an advantage, and you are prepared to travel regularly.
Experience from enterprises with high technology operations and development/engineering, production as well as administration are preferable.
