Challenge Description
The Volvo Penta vision is to be the world leader in sustainable power solutions. We have a history of innovation and enjoy strong market positions based on our current product and service offer. We are now in the starting blocks of developing next generation products and solutions that will be connected, electrified and automated. To accelerate this transformation we have just recently established a dedicated function to lead the transformation, and we are now expanding the team with a Chief Engineer Connectivity
Key responsibilities include setting our technology strategy and roadmaps within the area of onboard connected solutions, as well as driving the development of connected products. While you will lead this journey, successful collaboration across all functions in Volvo Penta as well as with other Volvo Group entities, external partners and most importantly our customers are key success factors in this role
You will manage the Technology platform and concept designs in a way that brings value to our customers and the company by continuously reviewing technology development inside and outside of the Volvo Group and make sure that it supports our business strategy of world leader in sustainable power solutions.
Department New Technology is located in Gothenburg and is responsible for New Technology Development and Innovation Management. It's a department with a broad network and the task to make Volvo Penta Future Proof.
