Thule Group is strengthening the R&D organization with a Chief Engineer for the largest and steadily growing product category Rear Mount Systems (RMS) to the development center in Hillerstorp, close to Värnamo.
The main challenge is to continue to position one of Thule's most important product categories in the very forefront when it comes to technical innovation and design.
As Chief Engineer RMS you will be overall technically responsible for all Rear mounted products (mainly bike carriers), including development of new products as well as maintaining the existing product portfolio.
You will, within the area of responsibility, act as the technical project leader for Design Engineering and take a great responsibility in motivating the engineering team to meet key deliverables.
Moreover, the CE takes an active part in product planning for all RMS products and based on that define pre-development project plan.
You will support and collaborate with the Product manager for future strategy, market- and competitor analyzes.
Furthermore, in this position you will also manage the overall product maintenance plan for the RMS products.

Your profile:
We believe that you have an academic degree in Mechanical engineering or similar. You have extensive experience in product development with proven success. You have a very broad technology and product background as well as experience of leading technical projects.
Experience of working in a global business is required, as well as experience in environments where many projects are run simultaneously.
You are a pro-active enthusiastic person with an entrepreneurial drive, a "can do attitude" and a team player.
We trust you have a structured and professional approach with flexibility in mind and consistent in delivery.
You have the power to make decisions with good impact. You are communicative and outgoing. We also assume that you have good logical analytical ability. You see the big picture, but can also go down to the detail level when necessary. You have, besides a great interest in technology, an interest in leading / developing members in the team.
You are fluency in Swedish and English both in orally and in writing.
