About the job
PayEx is recruiting a Chief Compliance Officer to our office at Kungsgatan 36 in Stockholm. The Chief Compliance Officer is ultimately responsible for the Compliance function.

The Compliance team consists of three Compliance Officers and the Data Protection Officer. Everyone in the team has their own areas of responsibility, but to a large extent also cooperate with each other and with the business.

Working at and being responsible for the compliance function at PayEx entails close dialogue with managers and employees in the business with a focus on ensuring compliance with regulations, in parallel with having a strong business focus and a solution- and collaboration-oriented approach.

The compliance function covers PayEx's legal entities and branches in the Nordic countries. The work entails travel and close contact with the operations in Sweden (Stockholm and Visby), in the other Nordic countries as well as in the Baltics. The responsibilities for the compliance function in PayEx is in accordance with the regulatory requirements.

As Chief Compliance Officer you will, amongst other, be responsible for the following tasks:

• Manage the Compliance function and lead the compliance team both in Stockholm and in Visby.
• Conduct regulatory external monitoring on a quarterly basis.
• Conduct training of employees, management and board of directors in compliance related areas, including regulations, internal governance and control, ethical standards, data protection and anti-money laundering.
• Update and support the business in creation and revision of internal governing documents.
• Assist the business in implementing new legal and regulatory requirements and necessary procedures.
• Perform annual risk assessment of compliance and data protection risks and make the annual plan thereafter.
• Quarterly report to the board of directors.
• Be responsible for regulatory contacts.

As Chief Compliance Officer you report to the CEO, and will be a member of the Executive Committee at PayEx.

You will be employed in PayEx Sverige AB, with responsibility for both business areas, Ledger and Factoring and Swedbank Pay.

PayEx Sverige AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Swedbank.

Skills required to succeed
You have proven leadership experience and demonstrate ability to lead, influence and motivate individuals and teams. You have a developed understanding of the business and enjoy working closely with the business to realize goals - within the framework of laws and regulations.

You have high integrity and the courage to question and challenge your surroundings in a solution-oriented way.

You have the ability to create enthusiasm in the business in the implementation of sometimes complex changes related to the compliance area.

Further we are looking for the following skills and experiences:

• A university degree in law and +10 years of relevant working experience, preferably from the financial sector.
• Knowledge of Swedish-, Nordic- and EU regulatory frameworks for financial- and payment institutions and for Debt Collection Companies.
• Excellent level of both Swedish and English required.
• Strong inter-personal skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Solution oriented, self-motivated and positive team player with solid structuring skills.
