SKF Eurotrade AB is a company inside Industrial Market, providing logistic service and business support to a majority of countries in East Europe and Middle East & North Africa. SKF Eurotrade AB is acting as an area company with subsidiaries or representation offices in about 20 countries. The sales are done through these local units. From the head office in Gothenburg a range of different support functions are being handled, e.g. Customer Service, Finance, Quality and Export Control.

Chief Accountant

As a Chief Accountant, responsible of SKF Eurotrade AB, you will report to the Accounting and Reporting Manager. The accounting team consists of 5-6 highly skilled professionals, working together in a dynamic and international environment. You will take full responsibility for the accounting and reporting of SKF Eurotrade AB. You will act as a liaison between business operations and the finance department, and also develop and maintain strong relationships with foreign-based Financial Shared Service Centres to ensure alignment with financial targets, as well as, best practice sharing. Your network of controllers, business colleagues and stakeholders are located both locally and worldwide. This will give you a unique opportunity to network in a truly global organization, SKF is present in over 130 countries.

Your day-to-day work:

You will be responsible for the reporting and accounting for SKF Eurotrade AB. In addition to that you will be responsible for specific work areas:

• Prepare and review journal entries and develop supporting documentation
• Monitor and conduct general ledger account reconciliations
• Delivery of monthly and yearly period end closing and income tax return
• Assist in both internal and external audit procedures
• Ensure compliance of the accounting and reporting policies in the full value chain
• Process development and standardization within accounting and finance procedures
• Independently drive projects initiated either by yourself or by your manager

We expect you to have/be:

• University degree in finance and business administration or equivalent
• Relevant work experience as a financial accountant
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint applications and strong computer knowledge within a multi-system environment. SAP is an advantage.
• Experience from working in a global organization
• Skills within the IFRS, Swedish GAAP and K3 framework is meritorious
• Experience from a sale and/or an industrial company is an advantage
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both oral and written

Additional information for you:
