Presentation
We are looking for a chemist to our client, an international fashion company. The assignment is expected to start in November and the duration is at least one year. If you fit the description -make sure to apply today. We will start interviewing candidates shortly.
Publiceringsdatum2013-09-18Dina arbetsuppgifterAs a chemist at the Global Quality Department you are responsible to drive the company's goal to be in the forefront when it comes to product safety, chemicals management and environmental concern.
Main responsibilities:
• chemical restrictions for specified products/materials in all countries and for all brands
• collect relevant chemical related standards and regulations
• evaluate the information and set importance for the company
• set, implement, up-date and follow up chemical restrictions, standards, routines, methods and guidelines
• ensure all relevant staff is kept up to date with the company's chemical restrictions
• proactively identify potential chemical related safety and environmental issues and find solutions
• evaluate current chemical issues and incidents and identify weak points to be improved
• share problems and solutions with related parties in order to prevent them from re-occurring
• cooperate with relevant external parties like working groups, standard organisations, authorities and NGO's.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Specific Competence:
• has a university degree in chemistry/environmental science and at least 2 years working experience
• has good knowledge of materials and production processes, especially for textiles and leather
• has the ability to read and evaluate standards, legislation and newsletters from external parties
• good communicator and has great networking skills
• hold good written and verbal skills in English
• structured and organised
• team player
• quality and environmentally focused
• good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
