We are currently looking for a Chemist to strengthen our Lab Engineering team within R&D Implant Systems. The position is located at our site in Mölndal, Sweden.
DESCRIPTION
As Chemist you will be an important member of the R&D Lab Engineering team and will be responsible for planning and performing verification & validation of medical devices in product development projects. The team consists of engineers with different specialties located in Sweden and Germany and has the overall responsibility for the laboratories, equipment and the development of appropriate methods within R&D Implant Systems.
You will in your daily work;
• plan, perform and document results from analyses and testing primarily within the field of chemistry and material surface characterization.
• lead development and validation of new analytical methods.
• evaluate and develop new product ideas and technologies.
• be responsible for the maintenance, calibration and training of analytical instruments.
• support colleagues and projects with technical knowhow.
QUALIFICATIONS
For this role in a truly global business environment, we look for qualified candidates with a relevant background. The position requires a university degree in chemical engineering or in organic/analytical chemistry. The typical profile for this position is an action oriented person, with a combined theoretical and practical approach with an enthusiasm for laboratory based work. Personal characteristics are analytical skills, scientific and innovative thinking and an ability to work both in a team and independently. We believe that you are an experienced analytical chemist and a good communicator, in both Swedish and English.
