Casco Adhesives develops, produces, markets and distributes wood adhesives and resin systems for industrial use. Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
The Development team in Nacka is a vital part of the R&D organization for Adhesives within AkzoNobel. The development team is responsible for developing break-through technologies for the wood working industry to defend our position as market leaders. Our main customers are large factories all over the world producing parquet flooring and furniture. Our adhesives are also used in the production of laminated beams, which are used in large building constructions like sport arenas, bridges and airports. Main technologies used for these adhesive systems are amino resin, polyurethane and dispersion based chemistries. Sustainability is a key focus area for us and we continue to push the boundaries for what is possible. We look at the whole process and continuously drive the development towards more environmental friendly solutions, all along a product's life cycle. The Development team consists of 10 dedicated chemists with various background (five Ph. D., three M.Sc. and two assistant chemists), working closely together in a project driven organization. The colleagues within Development team, as well as in the whole R&D Adhesives in Nacka, are characterized by a strong customer focus and positive attitude that nothing is impossible. Team spirit and cooperation across functions are highly valued within our organization. We are now looking for a temporary replacement in the Development team, as one of our Senior Chemists will be on parental leave January - August 2015. Selection may be ongoing during the application period, which is why we would prefer that you submit your application as soon as possible. The main tasks and responsibilities are: - To initiate, plan and drive tasks as part of the product development work stream. The main part of the work is done in the laboratory; such as formulation and evaluation work. - Work independently with tasks delegated from Senior Chemists and/or Team Leader. - Participate and contribute in innovative sessions. - Write reports and/or presentations in which the lab work (aim, task and conclusion etc.) is summarized.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Job requirements / Candidate profile - A degree in Chemistry preferably Master of Science. Relevant areas are Organic chemistry, Polymer chemistry, Surface chemistry, or similar. - Working experience from a chemical laboratory is beneficial. - Ability to report and document the work in Swedish and English. - Clear ablity to work organized and independently - Good communication and social skills. Additional information This is a time restricted position on a full time basis, reporting to the Team Leader Adhesives Development Group.
