At Powertrain Engineering Laboratory you and your team will provide Powertrain Engineering Projects with market competitive testing and quality assured test results.

Powertrain Engineering Laboratory is a complete test laboratory with test capability for engine, transmission, drive line, acoustic and system testing. The 20.000 square meter laboratory also include engine, transmission and technical work shops along with areas for calibration and service of test equipment and facility process maintenance. With high focus on effectiveness and future investments we can provide market competitive testing support for Powertrain Engineering product projects.
The chemistry lab which you will be responsible for, is one of the largest in Volvo Powertrain globally, which means that you will be involved in the global work with our your technical skills and experience.

Main responsibilities
The main responsibilities of a chemical engineer is to operate our chemical laboratory to support our engine projects with chemical analyzes and to support general testing activities in our test cells.
• Carry out chemical analysis and report according to assignment
• Be responsible for particle weighing activities
• Assist with competence within the area
• Responsible for measurement quality and result.
• Perform troubleshooting on test equipment when necessary.
• Delivery according to agreed time schedule.
• Be responsible for keeping the equipment calibrated
• Be responsible for routines within the chemistry laboratory and weighing room
• Suggest and perform method development

Required qualifications
Graduating technical university as a B.Sc/M.Sc in chemistry education.
Experience of working in a chemistry lab is a great asset for this application.
Experience in implementing chemical analysis and technical reports.
Well spoken and written English
Computer knowledge.
Volvo Production System (VPS) knowledge
Personal qualities

You have good communication and social skills and a willingness to actively participate in the team's common matters.
You are flexible and find it positive to work in a creative and changing environment.
Great cooperative skills and a customer focus.
