We are currently looking for our next System Tester with experience within charging and HV (Hazard Voltage) testing to join our charging team at Polestar.

Let us describe the challenge we offer
Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Your experience as System Tester within charging and HV would be invaluable to us both in concept work and when working with current designs for increased customer satisfaction.

This position will be based at our Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. We love spending time together and learning from each other - we do understand the importance of changing working environments. We are therefore flexible for working remotely a few days per week. This role will report to the Manager Charging & Energy, and together with your team, you will set the bar for success within the charging experience towards our customers.

What you'll do
You will be a part of Polestar's charging team within our propulsion department, which is a team with the mission to deliver results which exceed the customers' expectations. The area of responsibility is designing and developing our future charging experience for the electromobility area. As a System Tester your focus will be on testing towards charging and you will together with your colleagues perform testing activities and set up the needed processes, as well as execute and analyze the testing. Your responsibilities will be:

• Creation of Design Verification Methods and creation of "Acceptance tests"

• Performing tests on components and in vehicles

• Following up on issue reports and tight communication with the project leader and development team in terms for coaching new implementation

• Creation of test scripts and test automation

• Attendance on expeditions as well as considering test coverage and actively contribute with prioritization on defining the MVP in terms of safety critical testing

Who you are
You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles - it's probably fair to call you an EV nerd passionate about solving climate changes. As a person you are flexible, humble, enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You're not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You are a self-going team player with a positive and innovative mindset. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of how you can apply your knowledge and modify models to current issues within the working area. You are energized by working in a creative scale-up environment, taking action where you see potential and creating structure where needed.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

• M.sc or B.sc in electronics, software or equivalent university degree

• Experience from requirement and test management tools

• Experience in documentation and planning of component, system or functional testing

• Minimum two years' working experience as a tester

And it's a bonus if you have:

• Experience in testing within system for vehicles

• Experience in hands on testing in HIL, lab and vehicle environment

• Experience in validation towards customer expectations

• Experience in testing of charging, battery or HV systems

• Experience In vehicle calibration, SW download and CAN measurements.
