We are currently looking for you who are ready for the exciting challenge to take on this key role as Charging Component Owner with experience within electronics and embedded software as well as strong supplier management skills to join our charging team at Polestar.

Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Your experience as Component Owner within charging will be invaluable to us both in concept work and when working with current designs for increased customer satisfaction.

This position will be based at our Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. We love spending time together and learning from each other - we do understand the importance of changing working environments. We are therefore flexible for working remotely a few days per week. This role will report to the Manager Charging & Energy, and together with your team, you will set the bar for success within the charging experience towards our customers.

What you'll do
You will be a part of Polestar's charging team within our propulsion department, which is a team with the mission to deliver results which exceed the customers' expectations. The area of responsibility is designing and developing our future charging experience for the electromobility area. As Component Owner you will be responsible for developing a charger together with a supplier for our future car programs. In order to do this, you will support with technical leadership towards the supplier, making sure our specification meets the vehicle requirements, as well as legal and future legislation requirements.

With high pace and various responsibilities throughout the program, you will do necessary analysis and calculations and bring knowledge of power electronics and chargers which is crucial in order to succeed, as well as problem solving together with the supplier.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Lead supplier activities, 8D reports and Timing, Deliverables and Validation

• Support the Project Manager with deliverables and analysis related to the charger

• Create requirements based on simulation results, attribute requirements and legal requirements

• Support in supplier deviation requests in terms of system implications

• Lead and perform test activities as well as performing tests at various labs required on complete vehicle level

Furthermore, traveling within Europe approximately 1 week every 2 months will be included in this position.

Who you are
You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles - it's probably fair to call you an EV nerd passionate about solving climate changes. As a person you are flexible, humble, enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You're not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You are a self-going team player with a positive and innovative mindset. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of how you can apply your knowledge and modify models to current issues within the working area. You are energized by working in a creative scale-up environment, taking action where you see potential and creating structure where needed.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

• M.sc or B.sc in electronics, software or equivalent university degree

• Previous experience in Electronics and Embedded Software

• Previous experience in supplier management in various projects within the Automotive industry and are aware of the industrial process

• Previous experience in Requirement Management

• Previous experience in IBM Doors and/or SystemWeaver
