Right now Solibro Research in Uppsala is looking for a:
Modelling and characterization engineer
Tasks and Responsibilities
Characterization activities to give fast feedback to experiments.
Model and simulate electrical properties of a solar cell.
Plan and perform experiments for improved device/module efficiency.
Statistical evaluation of experimental results
Participate in projects as a technical expert
Experience and education
PhD (or experienced MSc) in semiconductor physics, engineering physics, electronics, materials science or similar.
Experience in electrical characterization of solar cells or similar semi-conductors or thin film devices (IV, QE, CV, EL, PL, EBIC, spectrophotometry etc)
Experience in modelling and simulation of electrical and material properties in CIGS solar cells or similar. Or interest to learn software tools for this purpose.
Experience in designing and setting up experiments and to work in the lab.
Personal qualifications
Passionate about being part of a world leading R&D team for CIGS solar cells
Self-motivated, energetic with can-do attitude
Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
Ability and willingness to work hands-on in the lab
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in Writing
English and preferably also Swedish speaking
