During a one-year position, you will have the opportunity to develop commercial ideas and strengthen your entrepreneurial skills.
About the Chalmers Entrepreneurial Fellowship
As an applicant to the Chalmers Entrepreneurial Fellowship, you will be employed for one year within the Chalmers Group. We will offer 5 (five) fellowships for this position. During this time, you will have the opportunity to develop your research idea or results to take them to the market as a start-up company. In addition to financial support, you will receive advice and guidance to commercialize your idea and build entrepreneurial skills. The program strengthens Chalmers utilization by developing more research-based innovations, commercializing them and creating socio-economic value.
Qualifications
The program is aimed at recent PhDs or Postdocs from Chalmers University of Technology or other Swedish research institutes at the beginning of their career with a passion for innovation and who can dedicate one year to the project.
You should have worked on a research project with groundbreaking results ready for application and commercialization. You have an entrepreneurial drive, the will to create solutions with high societal impact and the realization that collaboration with others builds greater shared value.
What we offer
If you are accepted to Chalmers Entrepreneurial Fellowship you will receive:
• Financial security through salary during the program (up to 1 year).
• Access to Chalmers research infrastructure and facilities with 500 000 SEK in funding for materials and equipment.
• Intellectual property protection for your innovations with up to 100 000 SEK in funding to cover IP costs.
• Guidance and personalized coaching from Chalmers Next Labs, Chalmers Ventures and experienced mentors.
• You will be employed at Chalmers Next Labs.
Criterias
The program is aimed at postdocs or recent PhDs from Chalmers University of Technology or other Swedish research institutes who are passionate about innovation and can commit to the project for at least one year, starting on 1 September 2026.
Information about Chalmers Next Labs AB
Chalmers Next Labs AB is a non-profit, wholly owned company in the university group where Chalmers conducts activities characterized by research-related development with potentially large societal impact. The business is broad and ranges from "Deep Tech" to advanced decision support for societal challenges. The company develops the utilization of outstanding research at Chalmers.
