We are looking for a strong leader with a commercial mindset and a good foundation in logistics who, together with his/her team, is able to translate ideas and visions into reality.
As a person we believe that you are passionate about creating an IKEA fit for the future and motivated by increasing customer value by finding new ways through co-creation with colleagues and other IKEA units and departments. You are self-motivated, enjoy driving the business agenda with speed and get inspired by working together in an ever-changing multi-dimensional environment.
You have the ability to take initiatives and find ways to proceed to achieve short and long-term business objectives. You are able to prioritize, delegate and make efficient decisions with simplicity. You have good leadership capabilities, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships. You are used to communicating verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice. You are further able to take a holistic view of a global organisation but as well understand the needs and requirements of a store and identify business opportunities accordingly.
Furthermore, it is vital that you have experience within the area of Customer Fulfilment with focus on store and fulfilment activities and you should have an interest and openness to explore new processes and technologies. You should have experience in store layout planning and it is a merit if you have experience in building up a new store. You have experience leading cross-functional teams and naturally adapt your leadership style towards the needs of your team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As Core Team Leader CFF you will be the ambassador of customer fulfilment in the "making the store of the future a reality" initiative and you will be leading the CFF local teams as well as the global requested development work to deliver requested innovations and developments according to the initiatives timeline. The overall goal of the initiative is to rethink the meeting with our customers in a totally new way, making it more related to the needs and wishes of a buying process in the future. At the same time you should enable extended fulfilment capabilities for the store. Your role will be to make optimal use out of our stores in our multichannel fulfilment network, living up to the needs and wishes of our customer and optimizing our profitability in the new business model. In order to accomplish this new concept of "making the store of the future a reality", we will run three time boxed tests in three global metro areas spread across the globe (Shanghai, New York and Milan)
You will further:
• Contribute to creating a new customer experience within the store by creating and supporting the inspiration of the customer while retaining the logistics efficiency of our current cash & carry operations
• Implement (new) technology and automation solutions for store fulfilment capabilities, such as building adaptions to overcome limitations in terms of space and volume needs and to optimize the efficiency and productivity in the fulfilment process
• Explore all existing assets of the store and on its premises to accommodate solutions enabling a world class convenient fulfilment
• Review and optimise store components such as: Showroom, Markethall, Exit area, Parking, Full Serve/Self-Serve Furniture area, Goods Receiving etc. to meet the customer needs in the store and online via further fulfilment capabilities
• Create a seamless "click & collect" offer in the store
• Act as coach for the for the pilot markets (Shanghai, New York, Milan)
• Lead the local CFF members in the countries from a content and work focus to achieve the given initiative goals in close cooperation with the global CFF organisation
• Bridge and coordinate with the latest developments coming from the "store with fulfilment capabilities" and utilize them for the benefit of creating innovative new customer experiences
• Sign off local new store plans from a CFF perspective.
You will report to Martin Fachinger, Store with Fulfilment Capabilities Initiative Leader. This role has its base in Malmö, but regular travel will be required depending on the phase of the project. The duration of the assignment is approximately two years after which you will return to your home organisation. Please note that you will not have to relocate to Malmö for this role, but will be offered a commuter assignment if applicable.
