We are looking for a CFD-engineer to expand our team at Fluid and Combustion Simulation at Scania in Södertälje, Sweden.
Our team perform simulations on internal gas and liquid flows in the combustion engine of our heavy duty engines. Most engines are compression ignited diesel engines but alternative fuels and spark ignition engines are also part of our work.
Our group is characterized by happy and knowledgeable engineers and is responsible for simulation and calculation of components that affect gas exchange, combustion, fuel spray, coolant and oil systems. There are several senior engineers working in the group. We are currently looking for the right person, with respect to mindset and technical competence, to add to the group. The person we are finally recruiting can either be a more junior engineer with the right mindset or a more senior engineer with a proven CFD background.

You should have industrial experience in 3D flow simulation using one or more of the following tools: Star-CCM+, Ansys Workbench (CFX/Fluent) or Converge, and we require that you have a very good knowledge in Linux OS. We assume that you have good knowledge of pre-processing tools like ANSA, Ansys meshing or Spaceclaim. For special treatment of our geometric data we use Catia V5.
We will emphasize on the following parts in your profile.
• Very good communication skills with a customer focus (our customers are both internal and external).
• Ambitious with internal drive and ability to take decisions.
• Interest in both our daily product development using simulations as well as in method development.
In addition to specific engine CFD knowledge, a general knowledge of CFD is highly valued. Previous experience of compression ignited and/or spark ignited combustion simulation using CFD, and experience of the automotive industry in general and Scania in specific is appreciated.
