The Vehicle Simulation & Powertrain Concept Analysis group is now expanding and is therefore looking for a CFD engineer.
Responsibilities:
As a CFD engineer at Volvo Technology you will be involved in the development of future vehicles and driveline concepts. You will work with flow simulation of vehicle aerodynamics and other vehicle related areas such as underhood flow. As a member of the CFD team at the Vehicle Simulation & Powertrain Concept Analysis group you are expected to perform flow simulation tasks in the different phases of product development as well as in research projects. You will also contribute to the development of methods and tools within the CFD area. In your daily work you will be working in close collaboration with our partners within the Volvo Group.
Requirements:
MSc in mechanical engineering, computer science, engineering physics or other relevant field
Knowledge of fluid mechanics and heat transfer
Knowledge of using CFD tools
Analytical mindset
Fluency in English
Merits:
Knowledge of vehicle aerodynamics
Knowledge of using Star-CCM+
Knowledge of using OpenFoam
Programming skills
Experience from the automotive industry
