Job purpose
As a Certification Engineer, you will be a key member of the Quality Assurance team within R&D, ensuring we develop and maintain premium quality for new and existing products, which help hundreds of thousands of people in their everyday lives. With your deep electronical knowledge and certification experience, you will work closely with the Quality Engineers, SW and HW Engineers and Product Management to secure that the products fulfill all applicable regulatory requirements (type approval with focus on radio equipment and electromagnetic compatibility directives). You will also support the quality team with for example monitoring installed product performance and perform root cause analysis.
This is a full-time role, based in Malmö, reporting to the Quality Department Manager, R&D. Occasionally, you may need to travel mostly within Europe to Test houses, Suppliers and other Verisure sites.
Main responsibilities
- Understand CE and alarm standards and work with development teams to ensure successful approval
- Set up and maintain processes to secure technical file per product
- Keep track of standards roadmap and set a plan for product impact
- Support project teams in product CE knowledge
- Manage external test partners
- Support in audit of EMS, and other suppliers
- Support with other quality related topics such as root cause analysis, yield, product evaluation etc.
Required qualifications
- University degree, preferably within electronics or equivalent
- Hands-on experience of certifications and product development of consumer electronic products
- Experience of EMC, LVD and RED directives
- Fluency in English
Preferred qualifications and personal characteristics
- You are sociable and communicative, enjoy collaborating and sharing your knowledge
- Structured in planning, execution and reporting
- Ability to understand technical certification standards and translate content into requirements
- Explain certification requirements and applicable consequences in an easy way for both technical and non-technical colleagues
