www.scania.comOur team is in an intense period with several product introductions that drive the need for certifications. We therefore need to ramp-up the resources.
We are looking for you who want to work in a dynamic environment with vehicle certifications for global and national specific road safety requirements. You will be a key player in the work together with design departments and authorities for Scania to receive the necessary approvals.
Work duties
Your responsibility will be to analyse and reveal how legal requirements affect Scania trucks and buses. You will work in close contact with the product development projects, product introductions as well as product maintenance. You will secure that the planned product updates fulfil the legal requirements and that the vehicles can be certified. The work will also be in close collaboration with colleagues in the team since the interdependence within certification areas is comprehensive, especially with respect to the European Whole Vehicle Approval.
In this role you will put an extra focus on South American national type approvals and in particular the Brazilian type approvals. This is performed in cooperation with our neighbour team Type Approval Support.
Your profile
We are looking for you who holds a Master of Science in Engineering or similar and have acquired a good product knowledge from commercial vehicles. Preferably you have experience from a product development process.
Experiences from commercial vehicle legal requirements, global and national, is a merit. Knowledge and experience regarding certification on the South American markets is needed.
Since we are working with type approval authorities where the primary communication is done in English, fluent written and spoken English is a must, while Portuguese and Spanish languages are merits.
As a person you need to be a good problem solver and team worker, even when under time pressure. Accuracy skills is a must.
